Curriculum
Our curriculum is guided by the foundation in our play based philosophy. Teachers blend an emergent curriculum practice along side The Creative Curriculum, an inquiry-based curriculum framework, which aids in development of daily plans, activities, schedules, and thoughtful layout of the classrooms. Emergent curriculum practice seeks to identify and focus on areas of interest based on careful observations of children’s play themes, conversations, and experiences. Children who are active participants in their learning are more likely to be meaningfully engaged throughout the day. These guiding practices, paired with our dedication to a play-based program serves as the basis of learning here at CCBC.
