CCBC Children’s Center Board of Directors
CCBC Children’s Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit governed by a Board of Directors. The Board is made up of members of our parent community and three representatives from the staff: the Director, the Assistant Director and a Teacher Representative. While the day to day operations are overseen by the school administration, the Board is responsible for broad financial oversight, providing and supporting long term goals and direction, ensuring ethical operations, supervision of the Director, and fundraising on behalf of the school. All Board meetings are open to the CCBC Children’s Center community and occur the second Tuesday of each month at 7 PM.
Hugh McDermott
Board Chair
Hugh McDermott is currently serving on the board for his third year. He has previously served as Treasurer. Hugh has a child in the Kangaroos class, a child in the Butterflies class and a CCBC graduate at Lafayette Elementary School.
Kat Wolfson
Board Treasurer
Kat Wolfson is currently serving on the board for her first year. She has a child in the PreK Stars and a child in the Bumblebees class.
Jordan Canter
Board Secretary
Jordan Canter is currently serving on the board for her first year. She has a child in the Kangaroos class.
Courtney Levine
Fundraising Chair
Courtney Levine is currently serving her third year on the board. She was formerly the Room Parent Chair. She has twins in the Circus class and a CCBC graduate in Kindergarten.
Rebecca Guiterman
Community Outreach Chair
Rebecca Guiterman is currently serving her second year on the board. She has a child in the Kangaroos class.
Chris Dietz
Room Parent Chair
Chris Dietz is currently serving his second year on the board. He has a child in the PreK Stars class and a CCBC graduate at Lafayette Elementary School.
Chris Perera
Teacher Representative
Chris is a teacher in the Circus class. She has been at CCBC for 27 years and serving her first year on the board. She has two CCBC graduates both working in the field of education.
Emma Hatton
Director
Emma is the Director of CCBC. She has been with the school for four years.
Maria Macalinao
Assistant Director
Maria is the Assistant Director and the Director of Auxiliary Programming at CCBC. She has been at CCBC for 21 years and has two CCBC graduates attending MCPS schools.
